Darwin and I have two cats, Alistair and Henry, who serve as wonderful entertainers, lap warmers and alarm clocks. Alistair hated Henry when we first brought him home (he'd been our only special boy since the age of four weeks and didn't want to give up his title), but now they are great pals. When they're not busy napping, they wrestle around on the floor biting each other's faces, just like brothers should! They're a very adorable pair ... well, see for yourself ...
Alistair's talkative and pretty easygoing (with us, anyway ... he's quite rude to guests).  He even lets us put clothes on him in the winter. Yes, that's a hoodie.
Henry is the athlete of the family. He can turn some amazing flips when you get out the feather fishing pole ... or could before he got older, lazier and fatter. Now his favorite activity is sleeping on whatever new cardboard box we put in the hall that week.
Now we have a dog, too, Millie Frances. We think she's a miniature pinscher or a min pin mix because she looks and acts like one. Alistair is not a fan of Millie.
There are more special pooches in our life, too. My nephew Lewis is a chocolate-colored Shih Tzu, my niece Margot is a Sheltie. My parents have a blue heeler named Jessie and a Shih Tzu named Jordan.
Then there's Gidget, my "sister." She died in July 2002, and we miss her lots. She had many cat-like qualities ... maybe that's why she was so special!
