| I'm really proud of the stained glass windows I made. I scanned them into Photoshop, changed the stupid white silkscreening to look like black leading and colored in the pattern in red, orange, yellow and green. I printed on transparencies to make stained glass. The 1412 is our real house number. This is our first house, so I'll always have something to remember it by. Some of the lines don't show up in this picture, but they're there. |

I added the roof and the little extension onto the front gable. |
| Then I started painting the green accent areas of the house. |

I stained the hardwood floors and the stairs with Minwax black walnut, but they turned out too dark and the wrong tone. So I stained over them with red oak, to bring out a more red tone. The stairs turned out pretty well, but the hardwood floors are still a bit darker than I would like. |

| Dura-craft kindly sent me some extra pieces, so I decided to go for the bathroom addition over the kitchen. I bashed the kitchen apart with a hammer (great stress reliever!). Then my hubby cut a hole for the bathroom door (with my help). |

Then I sanded off the milled clapboard siding, so I would have a smooth wall inside. It's kinda uneven, though, so I intend to cover it with tile or something. Then I glued the new walls in place. |
| I've done a lot of painting now. The stairs and porches are dark red, and the windows and porch posts are white. |

The paint on the tower is finished except for a little touching up. I love this color combination! The color is making the house really come together. |
| This is what the front looks like with the addition partially finished. I've decided to brick the front porches and stairs with bricks cut from cardboard egg cartons, so the red will be covered up. |
